How to restore your expired electrician’s licence

To restore an electrician’s licence that has been expired up to two years you can use our online restoration service.
To use the restoration service you will need to know your licence number, which can be found on the front of your licence.
To safeguard your personal information, you will need to have an email address or mobile telephone number currently recorded with Licensing Services so that when prompted, we can SMS and/or email you your one-time security access code.

Expired over two years
Where an electrician’s licence has been expired between two and five years or more than five years, the Electrical Licensing Board requires that a person successfully completes additional training prior to restoring their name to the electrical licensing register. The training required is outlined in the relevant form below.
